Vallejo's 13th Annual Ducky Derby will be held July 4th at the Vallejo Waterfront, and you can help support BV Humane by buying a ducky! If that ducky is among the first six finishers in the race, you could win one of six fabulous prizes - including a brand new Scion XB donated by baseball star and Vallejo native C.C. Sabathia.
Tickets are $5.00 each and are available at the BV Humane offices at 1121 Sonoma Boulevard (corner of Sonoma Blvd and Solano Ave). $1.00 from each ticket goes to BV Humane, and the rest goes to providing dictionaries to third-grade classes throughout Vallejo.
In addition to the Scion XB, prizes include $2,500 cash, the opportunity to be "Trainer for a Day" at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, a $1,500 shopping spree at Victory Stores in downtown Vallejo, a $1,500 shopping spree at Costco, or a year of free car washes at Jack Anthony's 7 Flags Car Wash.
